The Regional VRF Account Manager is responsible for all aspects and daily functions of their respective region’s VRF activities. This position supports the vital business and product metrics required to meet the company goals and objectives. The position will develop a team in areas of development which include but are not limited to sales; training; marketing; and application support. Responsibilities include hiring, training, and supervising regional sales support team; providing sales management and marketing for local sales channels; developing annual department budget and ensuring achievements within budget and time; developing and handling relationships with sales channels to enhance VRF knowledge and focus; assisting in driving specification in the local market; ensuring all project information is inputted and regularly updated in CRM; managing sales pipeline; developing joint action plans with branches, representatives, and distributors for growth; acting as an extension to the training department; recommending product positioning and pricing strategy; preparing analysis and plans to overcome obstacles; establishing and maintaining key relationships with influencers and strategic partners; establishing JCI VRF presence at key local associations; coordinating local VRF related events including trade shows and seminars; and traveling 25-30% throughout the region. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology, 5+ years HVAC or industrial experience, 5+ years’ experience selling VRF, experience with Salesforce or similar CRM, critical thinking and problem solving skills, outstanding social skills, ability to handle multi-task projects, proficiency in Microsoft Suite, and ability to travel within assigned region (NY Metro, NJ, New England). Preferred qualifications include MA/MS degree, engineering experience preferably in manufacturing, 10+ years’ experience in VRF, HVAC sales or industrial experience, technical experience with BMS/BAS, Chillers, Applied HVAC, Professional Engineer certification, and LEED A.P. and CEM accreditation.
