Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group Inc. seeks an experienced VRF Piping Mechanic to join our field team in the DMV region. You will install VRF piping, fabricate copper refrigerant runs, perform brazing and testing, and support commissioning on commercial projects.

The ideal candidate has strong copper piping and brazing skills, hands-on VRF installation experience, and a commitment to safety and quality on every site. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of HVAC piping-installation experience.
Minimum 1 year of hands-on VRF system-installation experience.
Experience installing copper refrigerant piping on commercial projects.
Strong brazing, soldering, and copper-pipe fabrication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
Familiarity with pressure testing and leak-detection procedures.
Ability to travel to active project sites throughout the DMV region.

Responsibilities

Install VRF refrigerant piping according to approved plans and manufacturer specifications.
Install condensate piping, insulation, hangers, supports, and related components.
Measure, cut, bend, fabricate, and assemble copper refrigerant piping.
Coordinate piping connections to indoor and outdoor VRF equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and project specifications.
Communicate material needs, installation conflicts, and field concerns promptly.
