Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.
• Strong customer service mindset and commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while taking initiative independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent organizational abilities and computer proficiency.
• Strong desire to engage with customers in an outside sales environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide integrated application engineering and design support for commercial HVAC applications.
• Partner with engineers, contractors, and end users to understand project requirements and recommend appropriate products and technologies.
• Prepare job takeoffs, estimates, proposals, quotes, submittals, and technical documentation.
• Deliver product presentations, conference calls, meetings, lunch-and-learn sessions, and product demonstrations.
• Provide technical product support, conduct job site visits, and assist with hands‑on troubleshooting as needed.
• Educate customers on products and equipment represented by Applied Mechanical Group Distributors, including opportunities in the Greater Salt Lake market.
• Research and develop new business opportunities within key vertical markets.
• Deliver exceptional customer service with prompt follow‑up and quick turnaround times.
