Job summary

Air Engineers is seeking a Commercial HVAC Sales Engineer to grow our VRF-enabled commercial HVAC business. The role combines technical HVAC expertise with consultative sales, engaging contractors, engineers, owners, and architects to craft VRF-based solutions.

The candidate should have hands-on VRF design, selection, or sales experience, particularly with CITY MULTI systems, and be comfortable reviewing construction docs and developing system proposals.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial HVAC systems and VRF/VRV technology.
• Experience in HVAC sales, applications engineering, mechanical design, estimating, project management, or a similar technical role.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans, specifications, equipment schedules, and construction documents.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and promote VRF solutions for commercial HVAC projects.
• Review mechanical plans, specifications, schedules, and project requirements to identify equipment needs.
• Assist customers with VRF system design, equipment selection, and questions.
• Develop accurate equipment selections, quotations, and proposals.
• Provide guidance on VRF heat pump and VRF system integration.
