Job summary

Ambient is seeking an on-site startup technician to support commercial HVAC projects across Southern California. You will diagnose and validate Daikin, AAON, and LG systems, program new controls, and ensure proper sequences of operation from wiring diagrams to commissioning.

Expect field work on rooftops and in mechanical rooms with a focus on reliability and documentation. You will read schematics, coordinate with installers, perform preventive maintenance, and complete startup paperwork for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years HVAC training program.
• Valid California License.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site startup technician for multiple manufacturers on commercial projects.
• Troubleshoot and validate control system installations for VRF and other systems.
• Program touchscreens and laptops; verify sequences of operation.
• Read wiring diagrams and equipment manuals to expedite commissioning and repairs.
• Document actions, test results, and resolutions in service reports; submit startup paperwork for warranty.
