VPR Patient Outreach Program (VPR POP) connects our clients to the greatest resource in healthcare: the patient. We develop programs and resources that unite people living with progressive and rare diseases with others managing the same condition, sparking education and inspiration in patient communities across the country. Headquartered in Kansas City, we offer development, recruiting, training, management, creative services, and logistic support to clients in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.

We are seeking a driven, organized, and passionate candidate to coordinate training events, video shoots, photo shoots, and manage contracts with newly identified contractors. The ideal candidate enjoys connecting with others, performs well under pressure, is tech-savvy (able to be trained on our scheduling software and database), a strong communicator, and genuinely cares about making a difference for others.

Responsibilities

The Video and Event Coordinator will be responsible for:

1. Planning 8-10 patient meetings annually (15-40 attendees), including researching venues, site checks, meal planning, developing signage and table tents, creating rooming lists, securing AV equipment, photography, makeup services, ground transportation, and other aspects to ensure safe and enjoyable events for patient speakers.
2. Coordinating all patient video productions, including interviewing patients, scheduling, securing locations, booking crew and travel, managing craft services, scheduling preproduction calls, securing props and wardrobe, creating production schedules, handling talent releases, managing project hours and payments, ordering transcripts, and overseeing related tasks. The coordinator will also accompany video crews (12-15 videos per year, each 1-2 days) to represent VPR, uphold standards, and ensure participant safety and comfort.
3. Maintaining and expanding the database of trusted production partners and venues.
4. Conducting interviews with patient speaker candidates.
5. Handling ad hoc project assignments as needed and mutually agreed upon.

This role is primarily in-person at our offices on the Country Club Plaza, working Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and during summer months from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Fridays.
