Job summary

Vekend, LLC is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to design scalable Snowflake-based data architectures and lead data engineering initiatives for government and university environments. You will translate business needs into robust technical solutions, govern data quality and security, and collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to drive delivery.

You will mentor engineers, optimize performance and costs, and implement automation across data integrations, monitoring, and error

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture and/or data engineering.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Snowflake Data Cloud.
• Experience designing Snowflake architectures and enterprise data solutions.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and data integration.
• Strong data governance experience, including lineage, cataloging, metadata management, data quality, security, and compliance.

• Mandatory experience within Public Sector: government and/or university / higher education environments

Snowflake certifications.

Experience with large-scale Snowflake migration or modernization programs.

Experience with Snowflake security capabilities, data sharing, performance tuning, and cost optimization.

Experience with regulatory environments such as GDPR or CCPA.
