Job summary

Keys Gate Charter High School seeks a dedicated VPK Teacher to create a nurturing, developmentally appropriate classroom that supports curiosity and growth for preschool children. You will collaborate with co-teachers and staff, mentor new team members, and lead engaging activities aligned with best practices.

In this role, you’ll ensure safety, communicate with families, and uphold accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• VPK credential required.
• CDA, staff credential or BS degree required.
• 1 year of lead teacher experience in licensed child care.

Qualifications And Skills

• High School Diploma/GED.
• College-level coursework, Associate, or Bachelor's degree - preferred.
• CDA/Staff Credential/BS required.
• VPK Credential required.
• 1 year of experience working as lead teacher in a licensed childcare facility.
• Meets state childcare education requirements.
• Knowledge of infant/toddler developmentally appropriate practice (DAP).
• Familiar with NAEYC standards.
• Familiar with continuity of care.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Able to maintain professional composure in stressful situations.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Familiar with accreditation process -- preferred.
• May perform other duties assigned.
