Job summary

Celebree School of Estero is seeking a Preschool Teacher to create a nurturing learning environment for preschool children and support growth of classroom aides toward becoming Celebree Teachers.

You will develop engaging lesson plans, foster curiosity, and promote early literacy while ensuring safety and inclusivity in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Lead teacher eligibility per state agency.
• Knowledge of behavioral and developmental stages of children and licensing requirements.
• Ability to manage a classroom with organizational and communication skills, and patience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement creative and developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities that foster learning, curiosity, and exploration among preschool-aged children.
• Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom atmosphere where preschoolers feel safe, valued, and encouraged to express themselves and learn through play.
• Integrate language-rich activities, storytelling, and early literacy experiences into daily routines to help preschoolers develop communication skills, vocabulary, and a love of reading.
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of the classroom environment, including materials, equipment, and play areas.
• Establish open and ongoing communication with parents, sharing insights, updates, and progress on their child’s development.

As a Preschool Teacher, you will be given the tools, resources, and training to:

Qualifications

• Must meet the requirements to be a lead teacher as approved by the governing State agency.
• This position requires comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the behavioral and developmental stages of children and knowledge of childcare licensing requirements
• The ability to manage a classroom, including strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), and problem-solving skills. patience, flexibility.
• VPK Teacher – Requirements
  • Must meet Florida DCF VPK teacher qualification requirements
  • Must have the required 45-hour DCF Child Care Training
  • Must have a CDA, FCCPC, or qualifying degree/credential as required for a VPK classroom teacher
  • Must have or be willing to obtain VPK-specific training as required by the state
  • CPR and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain)
  • Must successfully complete DCF background screening
  • Previous experience working with preschool/VPK-aged children preferred
  • Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate teaching practices
  • Ability to create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, professional, and passionate about working with young children
  • Ability to follow curriculum, classroom routines, health/safety procedures, and center policies
  • Must be able to maintain required VPK documentation and student records
