Job summary

Big Blue Marble Academy in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a VPK Lead Teacher to support daily activities, partner with families, and document milestones using electronic tracking. You will work with the Lead Teacher to keep the classroom running smoothly and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment.

This role requires a high school diploma, DCF 45 hours, CDA, and experience with children in daycare or preschool.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required and state certifications (DCF 45 hours, CDA) completed or in progress.
• Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar setting.
• Early childhood coursework completing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Lead Teacher to run daily activities and keep the classroom functioning smoothly.
• Partner with families to nurture children and document milestones with electronic tracking.

As a VPK Lead Teacher, you will:

• Work as a team with the Lead Teacher to facilitate daily activities and ensure the classroom is functioning smoothly.
• Partner with families to nurture and care for their children. Showcase your tech savvy skills while using electronic daily tracking to document children’s special milestones.
• Follow enhanced safety guidelines to keep your classroom clean and safe

Requirements:

• High school diploma required
• DCF 45 hours and CDA required, VPK endorsement
• Demonstrated experience working with children; child care, daycare, or preschool
• Early childhood coursework
• Employees are required to stand (six to eight hours daily), stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, etc. while working with children.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds
• Must be able to visually supervise children at all times.
