About the Role

The VPK Assistant Teacher is responsible for instructing 4-year-olds, based on individual needs and program requirements under the guidance of the Lead Teacher. This role involves creating engaging, developmentally appropriate activities and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.

Responsibilities
  • Caring: Follow licensing guidelines, company standards, and program requirements to ensure daily care of children.
  • Engaged: Observe, assess, and plan for children; communicate effectively with families.
  • Knowledgeable: Complete training on child care, preschool, and development topics.

Qualifications
  • Associates in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field, or an active CDA in Preschool.
  • Experience in a licensed childcare center or related setting.
  • Ability to meet state and center education requirements.
  • Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
