Job summary

Cathay Bank is seeking a VP, Treasury Management Sales Consultant (Project Management) to lead strategic treasury initiatives for key clients and prospects in a dynamic market. You will partner with relationship managers to craft treasury solutions and deliver seamless transitions with implementation teams.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of treasury sales, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 50% of the time. Bilingual Chinese is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Marketing, or Business or equivalent.
• CTP preferred.
• 5-7 years of Treasury Management sales experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; interacts with all levels of management.
• Ability to travel 50% within assigned territory.
• Bilingual Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) strongly preferred.

• Work with clients and Treasury Management Implementation and Support team to deliver a seamless transition to Cathay Bank.
• Team up with internal partners to improve the client experience through continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Meet with Cathay Bank’s largest clients and prospects to assess treasury management needs, discuss initiatives and recommend effective strategies.
• Meet or exceed sales revenue goals.
• Partner with commercial relationship managers to identify and develop treasury management solutions for clients and prospects. Listen to learn and give compelling reasons for ideas and recommendations.
• Collaborate with relationship managers to develop cross-selling strategies and update Cathay Bank team members on product enhancements as appropriate.
• Work with clients and Treasury Management Implementation and Support team to deliver a seamless transition to Cathay Bank.
• Team up with internal partners (TMIS and Product Management team) to improve the “client experience” through continuous improvement. Share time, resources, and frequently seek input and feedback from others.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Bachelor's degree with major in Finance, Marketing, Business or equivalent work experience required. CTP preferred.
• Experience: 5-7 years of Treasury Management sales experience required.
• Skills/Ability: Excellent written communications skills – produce clear and understandable work materials which may include desktop procedures, instructions, written email communications, etc. Excellent verbal communication skills – articulates point of view effectively and ensures others understand the message. Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with all levels of management. Effective project management and organizational skills – willing to put in extra time and effort to get the job done. Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to remain productive in challenging work situations. Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity in an effective manner. Ability to travel 50% of the time within their assigned territory. Bilingual Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) strongly preferred.

OTHER DETAILS

$90K – $125K / year
Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
