Job summary

Cathay Bank is seeking a Product Manager to lead the product planning and execution of consumer and commercial deposit and fee-based products across the lifecycle, coordinating with IT, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to drive revenue and customer satisfaction. The role also involves defining vision, strategy, and policy, with collaboration across departments to meet company goals.

Qualifications

• College degree in Finance, Marketing, or business-related discipline preferred but not required.
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Strong software knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and analytical ability.
• Ability to manage multiple objectives with high attention to detail and time management.
• Bilingual Chinese a plus but not required.
• Minimum five years in banking; three years in Product Development/Management.

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution of consumer and commercial deposit & fee-based products, throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with IT, Sales, Marketing and Operations to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Define and execute assigned product strategy and roadmap.
• Own all elements around subject matter product including all service-related challenges.
• Understand all market trends, technologies and competitive offers relating to product set.
• Grow revenue contribution to bank’s product portfolio.
• Responsible for the design, financial feasibility, and operational impact of product offerings.
• Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates products in the market.
• Own all product deficiencies, take lead in ensuring product issues are resolved.
• Keep log of all product issues to include discovery date and issue resolution date.
• Lead idea generation for new products and product marketing.
• Develop and maintain policy language in partnership with Operations, Compliance, and Audit.
• Provide support and product training to frontline team members.
• Ability to present to all levels within the bank including Executive Management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: College degree with major in Finance, Marketing, or business-related discipline preferred but not required.
• Experience:
  • Minimum five years of banking experience, (seven years preferred) of which a minimum of three years experience in Product Development, Product Management, or an equivalent role is required.

• Skills/Ability: Excellent presentation, interpersonal, professional, good verbal, and written communication skills; strong software knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); good analytical and research ability; organized with good prioritizing skills and have high attention to detail; good time management and able to manage multiple objectives at one time, with minimal guidance and supervision. Bilingual Chinese a plus but not required.

OTHER DETAILS

$115K – $140K / year
Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
