Job summary

Pivot Energy is seeking a senior engineering leader to run Development Engineering, Project Engineering and Grid Integration. You will design a high‑throughput screening engine for a 1 GW+ pipeline and 300 MW/yr in operation, using AI tools and an SBoD to de‑risk projects.

You will report to the Chief Development Officer, shaping strategy, capital allocation, and performance analytics for a net‑positive impact on communities and the environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; P.E. license required.
• 10+ years in engineering management or operations.
• 7+ years in solar, project development or utility programs.
• Experience leading project engineering for solar projects.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution and solar+storage tech.
• Ability to translate complex concepts to executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and project engineering teams across strategy and execution.
• Drive standardized designs and SBoD to increase throughput.
• Develop go/no-go frameworks for interconnection and pipeline de-risking.
• Provide data-driven oversight to budgets and KPIs.
