Job Description:

This role involves leading initiatives such as platform upgrades, onboarding new trading products, providing support for pricing issues, and designing risk metrics related to regulatory initiatives like FRTB for Equity Derivatives. The candidate will leverage the TDS GED platform, which includes in-house applications and vendor products like Sophis, supporting the entire business from sales to settlements and reporting. The role requires a hands-on, adaptable approach.

The main responsibilities include:

• Driving end-to-end delivery of applications for the Global Equity Derivatives business
• Designing and developing strategic trading platforms
• Implementing and developing solutions using Sophis and other in-house systems
• Designing risk and P&L metrics for traders, quants, and risk managers
• Creating middleware solutions between Sophis and in-house analytics
• Scaling performance of quant libraries
• Maintaining scalable pricing services using APIs and dependency graphs

Job Requirements:

Ideal candidates will have:

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• At least 4 years supporting derivatives trading operations
• Strong knowledge of Equity derivatives and associated risks
• Experience with quantitative development and integration of new features
• Support and support delivery experience
• Understanding of Software Engineering and Development lifecycle
• Vendor platform experience (Sophis preferred)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Strategic thinking and relationship management skills
• Financial acumen for complex analysis and reporting

The VP TDS - Tech Solutions manages a team of IT professionals supporting business needs, negotiating technology costs, and planning projects. The role requires managing multiple teams/projects, developing strategic plans, and ensuring operational excellence.

Depth & Scope:

• Negotiating technology costs and scope within the organization
• Deep understanding of bank technology standards and managing teams/projects

Education & Experience:

• Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate; Graduate degree preferred
• 7-10 years of related experience
