Job summary

Cardone Ventures is launching a new Tax Services division in Scottsdale, AZ, seeking a visionary VP of Tax Services to build the practice from the ground up. You will define service offerings, recruit and develop a team, and deliver high-impact tax strategy and compliance for a client base of entrepreneurs and growing businesses.

You will own the roadmap, pricing, delivery processes, and quality standards, collaborating with leadership to align tax services with broader client success goals.

Qualifications

• CPA license is required; advanced degree in Taxation preferred (MST or JD/LLM)
• 10+ years of progressive tax experience; minimum 5 years in leadership
• Strong expertise in business tax compliance, planning, and advisory
• Proven track record of building or growing a tax practice or service line
• Experience serving small to mid-market clients ($1M-$100M)
• Ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams
• Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

• Design, launch, and scale Cardone Ventures' Tax Services practice with a defined service model and pricing
• Develop a multi-year roadmap including revenue targets and staffing plans
• Serve as internal expert on business and individual taxation
• Collaborate with leadership to align tax services with broader offerings
• Lead tax strategy engagements for small business and mid-market clients
• Oversee delivery of tax compliance services (returns, estimates, filings)
• Provide advisory support for M&A, entity structures, and growth events
• Build trusted advisory relationships with clients
• Recruit, develop, and retain tax professionals
• Establish training programs and technical standards
• Institute systems and workflows for efficient service delivery
• Ensure regulatory compliance and ethical standards
• Monitor tax developments to keep clients ahead
