Job summary

CPI Card Group is seeking a Vice President of Strategy to lead development and execution of the enterprise strategy, identify growth opportunities, and drive strategic initiatives across the organization. The role serves as a trusted advisor to the executive team and Board of Directors on strategy, M&A, and market expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
• MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or related fields.
• Demonstrated success evaluating and executing mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and other growth transactions.
• Experience presenting recommendations to executive leadership and Boards of Directors.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent executive presence and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, refinement, and execution of the company's strategic plans.
• Partner with executive leadership to identify growth opportunities, emerging risks, and priorities.
• Facilitate annual and multi-year strategic planning across functions.
• Develop business cases that support enterprise growth and profitability objectives.
• Lead high-impact enterprise initiatives with cross-functional alignment.
• Establish governance and performance measures for key programs.
• Translate strategic priorities into measurable execution plans and outcomes.
• Lead financial evaluations of potential targets including valuation and modeling.
• Lead due diligence, integration planning, and post-transaction value realization.
• Direct reports: 1-3; build a high-performing strategy function.
