Job summary

GreenState Credit Union in Clive, IA seeks a VP of Credit Risk Management to lead underwriting across Consumer, Mortgage and Commercial portfolios, designing risk strategies and approvals to optimize performance while mitigating risk.

This senior leader will ensure ATR/QM and related standards compliance, manage a high‑performing team, and collaborate with Lending, Operations, Risk Analytics, Collections and Legal to strengthen underwriting and portfolio health.

Qualifications

• Leadership in credit underwriting strategy and policy development.
• Regulatory knowledge including ATR/QM, Reg B and FCRA.
• Experience with valuation methodologies for CRE and C&I loans.

Responsibilities

• Lead credit underwriting for Consumer, Mortgage and Commercial portfolios.
• Develop and implement underwriting policies and procedures.
• Provide regular reporting on portfolio quality, concentration risks and emerging threats.
• Collaborate with Lending, Operations, Risk Analytics, Collections, Special Assets and Legal.
• Manage a team of underwriters, analysts, and credit officers.
• Act as primary liaison with regulatory agencies on underwriting matters.
