Job summary

Ares Management Corporation is seeking an experienced investment professional to join the Asset Allocation team within Ares Insurance Solutions. The role focuses on building strategic/tactical asset allocation, ALM, and liquidity strategies across life, annuity, and reinsurance portfolios, collaborating with senior investment professionals to drive performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics or related field (CFA a plus)
• 7+ years of progressive experience in asset allocation, portfolio management, and ALM
• Demonstrated expertise in constructing strategic and tactical allocation plans across asset classes
• Deep understanding of insurance product liability profiles and capital requirements across jurisdictions
• Proven track record executing complex reinsurance transactions
• Experience communicating investment strategy and risk to senior stakeholders
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (Python a plus)

Responsibilities

• Strategic and tactical asset allocation for new business and in-force portfolios (30bn+ AUM)
• Design and implement pricing portfolios for new business (10bn+ per year)
• Asset–liability management (ALM) including cash flow matching and liquidity planning
• Lead end-to-end asset work for reinsurance transactions (Block, Flow)
• Manage enterprise liquidity and funding strategies
• Coordinate daily allocations of liquid and illiquid assets
• Oversee relationships with third-party asset managers
• Contribute to integration and standardization across the investment office
