Position Overview

We are seeking a proven leader to manage the Site Selection & Acquisition team, ensuring the achievement of development site goals and plans. The successful candidate will oversee teams with strong industry reputations, focusing on delivering inventory and capacity targets, refining processes, and collaborating across departments for seamless site management.

Essential Job Functions

1. Manage a team of Site Selection & Acquisition Directors responsible for APAC.
2. Ensure teams meet project plans and comply with legal, risk, and financial controls.
3. Drive execution across all phases of site selection and acquisition, from pre-qualification to hand-off to development.

Duties

1. Innovate and improve processes to reduce cycle times and increase output.
2. Foster a positive, team-oriented environment through feedback and coaching.
3. Manage performance reviews, gather input, and support team development.
4. Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Design teams to manage budgets and variance reports.
5. Ensure timely site acquisition within policies and budget.
6. Support sales with customer engagement and site readiness information.
7. Partner with finance and vendor teams on forecasts, agreements, and project authorizations.
8. Manage vendor and contractor relationships.
9. Incorporate lessons learned for continuous improvement.
10. Coordinate with operations to align site acquisition with ongoing facility management.

Job Requirements

1. 10-15 years management experience; 15-20 years preferred.
2. Data Center experience preferred.
3. Business Management Degree preferred.
4. Strong operational skills essential.
5. Experience managing distributed teams across regions and time zones.
6. Creative thinker with a passion for innovation.
7. Flexible, adaptable, and self-directed, capable of working remotely and across time zones.
8. Understanding of commercial metrics for successful development.
9. Full-time employment; travel within APAC required.
