Qualifications

• Master\u2019s or bachelor\u2019s degree with required years of experience in security engineering (see education)
• Experience reviewing security controls across designs and systems to identify gaps and risk
• Experience performing web app vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and code review (Java)
• Ability to articulate risk to developers and engineers in clear language
• Knowledge of common web stack technologies and cloud security principles

Responsibilities

• Perform Application Security Assessments (code review, penetration testing, threat modelling) and report results to application engineers.
• Review security architecture, policies, standards, and document findings and remediation steps.
• Identify vulnerabilities in software designs and processes to reduce security risks and advise on secure remediation.
• Research new cloud services and advise on secure adoption for the firm.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand software design and analyze security threats and risks.
• Stay current with new security technologies and assist engineers in assessing risk to enable a world-class cyber defense program.
