Job summary

Crypto.com seeks a senior leader for the Vice President of Sanctions and Financial Crime Intelligence to oversee sanctions controls for North America and drive modernization of the compliance program through automation. You will protect users and the platform by leading intelligence operations, collaboration with law enforcement, and global regulators.

You will manage sanctions controls, risk assessments, and due diligence for new digital assets, while coordinating external threat intelligence

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in sanctions and financial crimes compliance at crypto exchanges or large financial institutions.
  • Strong knowledge of US and Canadian sanctions/AML regimes.
  • Hands-on AML/sanctions risk assessments & remediation programs.
  • Expertise in digital assets, blockchain analytics and token listing due diligence.
  • Ability to lead workflow automation and cutting-edge compliance tech (AI/ML).
  • Experience interacting with regulators, law enforcement, and banking partners.
  • Certifications CAMS/CGSS/CFE/CCAS are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and scale automation across core compliance processes.
  • Oversee sanctions controls, OFAC compliance, and Blocked Property reporting.
  • Lead AML/sanctions risk assessments for North American entities and remediation efforts.
  • Direct AML/sanctions due diligence for new digital assets and listings.
  • Lead OSINT/Threat intelligence and industry referrals to identify trends.
  • Engage law enforcement and coordinate 314(b) information sharing.
  • Draft SAR responses and executive governance reports.
