Overview

Your Career In The Stratusphere

There’s never been a better time to join Stratus!

As the market leader in brand implementation and maintenance, we help the world’s most recognized brands show up consistently—everywhere they operate. From exterior signage and interior branding to site refreshes, digital signage, and ongoing repair and maintenance, we bring brands to life where it matters most. Our work extends far beyond installation—we become a long-term partner in helping brands succeed.

At Stratus, every employee plays a direct role in that impact. We operate with a strong commitment to customer service, a focus on execution, and a bias for action. If you’re looking for a place where your contributions are visible, your growth is supported, and your work makes a real difference, you’ll find it here.

The Opportunity

The Vice President of Sales is a senior commercial leader responsible for translating Stratus’ growth strategy into disciplined sales execution and measurable revenue results. This role will lead a team focused on winning new national and multi-location customers, expanding existing accounts, and increasing profitable revenue across Stratus’ portfolio of solutions.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for a strong operator who can think strategically, but is equally effective driving execution. The VP of Sales will establish clear priorities, create accountability, inspect performance, coach the team, remove barriers, and personally engage in high-value opportunities when needed to move business forward.

Success in this role requires a leader who builds sales rigor - from pipeline creation and forecasting to account planning, conversion, pricing, and cross-functional follow-through - while creating a performance culture centered on urgency, ownership, customer value, and growth.

Responsibilities

Sales Growth & Execution

  • Translate Stratus’ sales strategy and annual growth objectives into clear execution plans, priorities, targets, and sales activity.
  • Drive new logo acquisition, national account expansion, cross‑selling, and share‑of‑wallet growth across Stratus’ capabilities.
  • Establish a consistent operating cadence for pipeline generation, opportunity progression, forecasting, account planning, and sales performance reviews.
  • Create clear expectations for prospecting, customer engagement, opportunity development, conversion, and revenue delivery - and hold leaders and sellers accountable for results.
  • Identify gaps to plan early, diagnose root causes, and implement corrective actions to keep the organization on track.
  • Personally engage in strategic pursuits, major customer meetings, executive presentations, RFPs, negotiations, and high-value opportunities as needed to accelerate growth.

Sales Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team with a strong focus on accountability, productivity, execution, and results.
  • Set clear performance standards, territories, account ownership, goals, and success measures for the sales organization.
  • Use data and CRM insights to manage performance, including pipeline coverage, win rates, sales cycle, revenue attainment, account penetration, margin, activity, and salesperson productivity.
  • Provide direct, timely coaching and performance feedback; recognize strong performance and address underperformance with urgency.
  • Build bench strength and capability across the team through hiring, development, succession planning, and ongoing sales coaching.
  • Create a culture that balances strategic thinking with a bias for action, customer focus, collaboration, and consistent follow-through.

Commercial Discipline & Deal Leadership

  • Ensure opportunities are qualified, accurately valued, actively progressed, and supported by clear close plans.
  • Improve forecast accuracy and sales visibility by establishing strong pipeline hygiene and disciplined CRM utilization.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Estimating, Sales Engineering, and other functions to develop competitive, executable, and financially attractive customer solutions.
  • Provide leadership on pricing and deal structure to balance customer value, competitiveness, revenue growth, and margin.
  • Use win/loss insights, customer profitability, market data, and sales performance trends to continuously improve commercial effectiveness.

Cross-Functional Execution & Customer Leadership

  • Partner closely with Operations, Finance, Marketing, Customer Success, and other leaders to ensure sales commitments can be executed successfully across Stratus’ national footprint.
  • Create strong handoffs from sale to implementation and help resolve cross-functional barriers that could impact customer experience, speed, or growth.
  • Build executive-level relationships with large national and multi‑location customers and serve as a senior escalation point for strategic opportunities.
  • Bring customer and market insights back into the organization to influence service development, go‑to‐market priorities, and future growth opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong focus on profitable growth, customer retention, long‑term account value, and scalable execution.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Operations, or equivalent work experience preferred; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
  • 12+ years of progressive B2B sales experience, including significant leadership experience managing enterprise or national account sales teams.
  • Proven track record of translating sales strategy into execution and delivering sustained revenue growth against aggressive goals.
  • Demonstrated success building accountability, improving sales discipline, strengthening pipeline performance, and increasing seller productivity.
  • Experience selling to large national, multi‑site, multi‑location, or Fortune 1000 organizations.
  • Experience in a business that manufactures, produces, installs, distributes, or services physical products or asset‑based solutions is strongly preferred. Relevant backgrounds may include signage, printing and graphics, HVAC, lighting, facilities services, building products, construction services, equipment, fixtures, or similar industries a plus.
  • Strong experience managing complex B2B sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, RFPs, contracts, pricing, implementation requirements, and cross‑functional coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead from the front - comfortable operating at both the strategic and tactical levels and personally stepping into important deals, customer conversations, and performance issues.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including experience with pricing, margins, forecasting, contracts, and customer profitability.
  • Strong executive presence, communication skills, and ability to build credibility with senior customer and internal stakeholders.
