Position specific details:

This role, as a key member of the Revenue Cycle leadership team, will oversee all processes related to the front-end services of the patient revenue cycle, including insurance verification, electronic intake, and authorization. It is fundamental to the start of the revenue cycle lifecycle and our interaction with patients. The role involves interfacing with stakeholders in Admissions, Managed Care, and Insurance Coordinators, with oversight of domestic and international associates to ensure processes adhere to company goals. Domestic and international travel is required.

Position location:

Remote within the United States.

Purpose and scope:

Supports FMCNA’s mission, vision, core values, and customer service philosophy. Oversees all A/R functions for USV/FVC facilities, ensuring timely collections and proper administration of bad debt write-offs in compliance with regulations. Implements cost strategies, evaluates reimbursement and coding, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. Oversees payer contracting and intake processes.

Principal duties and responsibilities:
  1. Monitor daily functions of Patient Intake, Billing, Cash Posting, and Accounts Receivable departments.
  2. Ensure internal controls, accuracy, and policy adherence.
  3. Ensure correct billing to payers and proper revenue recognition.
  4. Monitor cash deposits and oversee monthly close processes.
  5. Report on intake information, collections, and billing concerns.
  6. Maintain compliance with Medicare/Medicaid and other regulations.
  7. Manage Accounts Receivable trends, system setups, and third-party payer issues.
  8. Develop training for front desk and clinical staff on billing and documentation.
  9. Coordinate new site implementations, including policy development, staffing, and training.
  10. Oversee payer contracting, negotiations, and contract documentation.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical demands and working conditions:

Primarily desk work with computer interaction; travel up to 50% for meetings and site visits.

  • FVC Manager of Revenue Cycle
  • Revenue Cycle staff
Education:

Bachelor’s Degree required; Business focus preferred.

Experience and skills:
  • Minimum ten years medical reimbursement experience with eight years supervisory experience.
  • Minimum eight years regulatory and compliance experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with automated revenue management systems.
  • Multi-location management experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
