Job summary

The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research seeks a VP, Head of Business Management (Research Programs & Partnerships) to lead portfolio planning, resource management, and performance oversight for the Research Programs & Partnerships unit.

Reporting to the Chief Program Officer, this role drives enterprise alignment, builds a strong team, and delivers governance, analytics, and reporting to support funding decisions and OKRs. Hybrid work possible with NYC or Eastern US remote options.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business management, strategic planning, budget management, and project management.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in life sciences, healthcare research, consulting or related industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead RPP annual planning processes translating priorities into coordinated operating plans and measurable objectives.
• Maintain portfolio visibility across initiatives, dependencies, risks, and trade-offs.
• Prepare prioritization and sequencing recommendations for review by leadership to ensure coordination across units.
• Define and track OKRs, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting for portfolio performance.
• Balance resource allocation and capacity planning across the RPP unit.
• Oversee budget forecasting, funding pace, and financial alignment with execution capacity.
• Develop business cases for new initiatives and ensure stakeholder alignment.
• Serve as central integrator between RPP and cross-functional teams.
