MidAmerican Energy Company, a Midwest utility, seeks a senior Wind Generation Engineering Leader to drive performance across remote operations, wind engineering, and controls teams in Urbandale, IA. You will champion asset improvements, provide dashboards, and coordinate cross‑functional initiatives to boost turbine availability.
The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 8+ years in wind generation, and strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Continuously improve Renewable Generation asset performance through leadership of the remote operations center, performance and renewable engineering teams, technical specialists and controls specialists. Responsibilities include identifying asset enhancements to improve operations and availability, provide insights and informational dashboards to operations personnel to identify turbine operating issues/faults that reduce availability, aid in the development of documentation required to operate and maintain wind turbines, manage interdepartmental communications to monitor work and open action item completion that reduce fault/failed component and manage budgets for implementation of improvement projects for data systems, tools, and asset performance initiatives.

Bachelor's degree in engineering required. Professional engineering license, advanced engineering degree or Master of Business Administration preferred.
Strong technical background with eight years' experience in the wind generation industry; engineering administration including three years supervisory/management responsibilities.
Demonstrated understanding of wind generation industry issues and regulatory requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
Effective interpersonal skills and leadership abilities. Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects concurrently.
