Job summary

Healthpeak Properties, Inc. seeks an experienced Vice President – Transactions Counsel to advise on acquisitions, dispositions, financings and joint ventures of senior housing, medical office, and life science properties.

You will review and negotiate complex transaction documents, manage outside counsel, coordinate due diligence, and support deal team members from start to close, delivering pragmatic and compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from ABA-accredited law school and active bar license.
• 6–10 years of REIT and real estate transactional experience.
• Strong ability to manage detailed and complex transactions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate transaction documents for acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and joint ventures.
• Manage outside counsel and coordinate with internal groups on transactions.
• Assist with confidentiality agreements, LOIs, and ancillary documents.
• Coordinate due diligence and deal activities with deal team members and outside counsel.
• Manage closings and post-closing follow-up activities.
• Generate, manage and maintain legal forms; assist with intra-company agreements.
