Job summary

BGRE seeks a VP, Real Estate Development in Dallas, TX with remote flexibility to lead development and acquisitions across Texas markets. You will guide cross-functional teams, build pipelines, and drive due diligence, financial modeling, and partnership engagements to execute strategic opportunities.

In this senior role, you will influence investment analysis, participate in industry events, and help shape BGRE’s growth in one of the U.S.’s most dynamic multifamily markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business, or related field; graduate degree a plus.
• 10+ years in commercial real estate development, acquisitions, or business development in Texas.
• Established network with landowners, brokers, municipalities, and capital partners across Texas.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ARGUS Enterprise experience a plus.
• Strong deal-sourcing, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and strategic problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication; leadership of cross-functional deal teams.
• Willingness to travel throughout Texas and the greater U.S.

Responsibilities

• Source and lead execution of new development and acquisition opportunities in TX markets.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline with brokers, landowners, and partners.
• Lead due diligence with legal, engineering, environmental teams.
• Develop financial models and underwriting with investment analysis team.
• Represent BGRE at industry events and government meetings.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to advance opportunities from sourcing to closing.
• Monitor entitlement, zoning, and local regulations across Texas.
• Support annual business development strategy and goals.
• Oversee workflow of architects, engineers, and contractors.
