Job summary

BNY is seeking a Quantitative Analyst (VP) to join the Strategy and Insights team in New York, NY. The role focuses on building AI-enabled solutions, translating business needs into deployable products, and delivering data-driven insights to clients.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in financial services, strong Python/SQL skills, and experience with AI-assisted development tools, data quality, analytics, and visualization. A commercial mindset and collaborative approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or beyond) in a quantitative field.
• 3+ years of experience in financial services.
• Facility with AI and the modern data science toolkit, and the ability to implement in Python and SQL.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted code development tools (Codex, Claude Code, Devin Desktop, etc.)
• Practical experience with large data sets, data quality control, analytics and modeling.
• Experience producing clear graphical representations and data visualizations.
• A commercial mindset with superior time management skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
• Instinctual curiosity and reflexive collaboration.
