Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive quality leadership experience within manufacturing environments.
  • 7+ years of experience leading diverse teams across multiple locations, countries, and cultures.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, manufacturing processes, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience establishing quality metrics, leading quality transformations, and driving measurable business improvements.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and build alignment across cross-functional teams.

We are seeking a strategic and influential VP - Quality, Americas to lead quality excellence across our Residential & Light Commercial HVAC manufacturing and distribution operations throughout the Americas.

Reporting directly to the Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, this executive leadership role is responsible for developing and executing quality strategies that ensure our products consistently meet regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and company standards for excellence. The VP - Quality will drive a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer focus while leading quality initiatives across multiple manufacturing and distribution sites.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive quality strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans across the Americas.
  • Provide leadership and direction for quality initiatives across multiple manufacturing and distribution locations.
  • Partner with operations, supply chain, engineering, and commercial leadership to embed quality into every aspect of the business.
  • Drive innovation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure quality effectiveness, defect reduction, process capability, and operational excellence.
Quality Systems & Operational Excellence
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality management systems across the region.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer-specific expectations.
  • Develop and maintain robust processes for auditing, risk management, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with manufacturing teams to optimize processes, reduce variation, improve product reliability, and strengthen quality performance.
  • Lead investigations of significant quality issues and implement sustainable solutions.
Customer & Supplier Quality
  • Serve as a key executive leader in customer quality engagement and quality-related escalations.
  • Build strong partnerships with customers to understand requirements and ensure satisfaction.
  • Oversee supplier quality programs, ensuring alignment with company standards and driving continuous improvement throughout the supply chain.
  • Conduct assessments and audits of strategic suppliers and manufacturing operations to maintain high-quality performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, regulatory, and commercial teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Ensure quality principles are integrated into new product development, manufacturing processes, and distribution operations.
  • Influence stakeholders across diverse cultures, functions, and geographic regions to achieve business objectives.
Talent Development & Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a geographically dispersed team of quality professionals across multiple locations.
  • Build organizational capability through succession planning, coaching, and professional development.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Champion quality awareness through communication, training, and leadership engagement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • 15+ years of progressive quality leadership experience within manufacturing environments.
  • 7+ years of experience leading diverse teams across multiple locations, countries, and cultures.
  • Demonstrated success managing regional or global quality operations in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, manufacturing processes, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience establishing quality metrics, leading quality transformations, and driving measurable business improvements.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and build alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.
Preferred
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional quality certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent.
  • Experience within HVAC, industrial manufacturing, consumer products, or other complex engineered-product industries.
  • Experience with internationally recognized quality standards such as ISO 9001 and related quality frameworks.
