Job summary

Services for the UnderServed (S:US) is seeking a trusted VP of Property Management to oversee rent collection, leasing, and compliance across a large NYC housing portfolio. The role leads a multidisciplinary team and reports to the Chief Operating Officer, driving occupancy, financial performance, and regulatory adherence.

You will shape operating plans, monitor KPIs, and ensure safe, well-maintained properties while coordinating with Facilities, Finance, Legal, and program partners.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of leadership experience in affordable housing, property management, leasing, and facilities operations.
• Experience leading multi-site property management, compliance, and leasing teams.
• Advanced knowledge of LIHTC, HOME Final Rule, Project Based Section 8, NYS HCR & NYC HPD Rent Funding Programs, FHEPS and related funding.

Responsibilities

• Lead rent collection activities and subsidy management.
• Maintain 95%+ leased occupancy across LP and BH portfolio.
• Oversee 1,200+ residential leases and 60 commercial leases; manage renewals and audits.
• Develop budgets and forecasts for LP portfolio and monitor variances.
• Coordinate with auditors, funders, and regulators on compliance.
• Lead vendor management and oversee maintenance contracts and safety programs.
