The Vice President, Product Strategy - Multifamily operates as the subject matter expert on all things Multifamily and acts as the General Manager for Multifamily Product Strategy. The VP reports to the Chief Product Officer and is responsible for planning, developing, executing, and reporting on product lines and platforms within our Multifamily vertical. The Vice President contributes to the product team a deep knowledge of our users and customers, and the data about how our customers engage with our products. They also contribute to the product team a solid knowledge of the various constraints of the business - constraints from marketing, sales, service, finance, legal, and privacy are typical examples. Finally, the VP tracks industry trends and the competitive landscape as they pertain to the product.

The VP is responsible for developing and implementing strategic product plans and for collaborating with customers, prospects, external partners and internal teams to grow our multifamily business. The VP provides leadership and organizational skills to take ownership of all efforts and activities and leads cross-functional teams to ensure successful business outcomes.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure Revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met by collaborating with prospects, customers, engineering, marketing, sales, and customer service teams
  • Define the core product vision, goals, roadmap, and requirements to realize business goals and strategies
  • Lead new product development process & strategy from conception through launch and adoption
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and pricing analysis
  • Create and maintain product roadmaps, feature backlogs, and product documentation such as use cases, user stories, user flows, logic flows, and functional specifications
  • Oversee and manage project timelines, anticipate deviations from plan, and proactively identify and recommend solutions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Business, or related field
  • 15+ years of hands-on experience in product strategy, management, product design, user research, business analysis
  • Experience in the multifamily industry is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to figure out solutions to complex problems with many constraints, using sound judgement to assess risks, and to define your argument/tell the story in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative.
  • Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial drive, passion, and ability to assess and quickly understand strategic product goals and objectives
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to engage with cross-functional stakeholders in a constructive and collaborative relationship
  • Ability to deliver results, without losing track of the details, in a fast-paced environment
