A leading financial services company is seeking a VP, Product Manager for their Enterprise Consumer and Partner Data Solutions Team. The successful candidate will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle and strategy for Enterprise Identifiers, ensuring alignment with business goals through effective data solutions. Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills are essential for navigating stakeholder needs and driving product development in an Agile environment.
This role sits within the Enterprise Consumer and Partner Data Solutions Team - a high-impact, high-visibility Center of Excellence within Synchrony’s Chief Data Office (CDO) organization.
The VP, Product Manager will be a point of contact for Enterprise Consumer & Partner Identifiers (Enterprise ID’s), driving scalable data solutions that power analytical and operational workflows across Synchrony. This role supports end-to-end lifecycle management and new capability development for Enterprise ID, adoption of Enterprise ID across the consumer/partner lifecycle, and analytics, monitoring and self-servicing tools to drive usage and continuous improvement.
In addition, this role facilitates Agile Program Increment planning, working cross-functionally with Product Managers and Business Owners to understand organizational objectives, ensuring that the outcomes are clear, and that applicable Agile Release Trains (ARTs) are aligned.
This role balances strong data product leadership, technical know-how, business, and consultative skills. The ideal candidate will successfully build and manage relationships across various stakeholders and provide regular status updates on the assigned programs/projects.

Lead the coordination and end-to end data product lifecycle and new solutions development for Enterprise ID
Engage with business stakeholders on a regular basis to set goals for data solutions that align to overarching business goals. Ensure goals and KPIs are measured, monitored, and met.
Maintain Enterprise ID vision, roadmap, and end-to-end lifecycle based on business value and strategic priorities/KPIs. Effectively communicate vision and roadmap to key stakeholders
Develop and oversee development plans, including gaining buy in from key stakeholders, securing resources, identifying and removing roadblocks, serving as escalation point for all issues that might arise
Assist in initiating new work through Synchrony’s standard Agile process
Facilitate the tracking and prioritization of data curation work throughout their product lifecycles
Define releases and program increments working closely with agile partners
Test, validate, sign off data solutions
Build and deliver Enterprise ID communications and recurrent updates to cross-functional stakeholders
Drive Enterprise ID adoption across analytical and operational workflows, through partnerships with SYF business process owners, data product stewardship, analytics, and advisory
Continuously improve data product quality through recurrent inputs and outputs quality reviews, self-service tools, and partnerships with data stewards
Ensure Enterprise ID’s adherence of all legal, compliance corporate governance and risk management policies
Ensure data product materials and documentation are updated and comply with governance and data product management requirements.
Track and report status updates on all projects and programs on a regular basis.
Anticipate, escalate and resolve program/project related issues, impediments and risks
Facilitate discussions w/ other technology teams when there are dependencies on other areas (i.e. Security, Infrastructure, Digital, Credit, etc.)
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, or in lieu of degree, GED/high school diploma and 9+ years of relevant work experience to include:
A minimum of 7+ years of functional work experience to include:
5+ years in consulting or business facing role that requires leveraging data and analytics to drive strategy and business outcomes
4+ years of experience working with data and running queries using SQL to leverage internal and external data sources for proof of concept (POC) or new use case developments
3+ years of experience managing projects
Experience leading large-scale programs, in agile or waterfall methodologies
Desired Characteristics:
Broad understanding of banking, credit card, payment solutions, collections, marketing, risk and regulatory & compliance.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban; proficient with Agile methodologies and Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA)
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools
Ability to innovate and find creative solutions to meeting business goals
Familiar with marketing, collections, operations
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
High energy, self-motivated, able to drive results independently and with focus on continuous improvement
Ability to engage with technical and non-technical audiences with empathy and ensure needs/asks are effectively translated into technical requirements
Experience presenting to clients and senior leaders with strong communication skills
Team player who enjoys close collaboration with analysts, data scientists, data engineers, product and business SMEs spanning several business areas
Thought leadership; ability to connect the dots across requirements, technology and process to ensure a holistic solution across consumption patterns
Experience handling concurrent activities/projects with competing priorities
Strong relationship management and influencing skills to build enduring and productive alliances across matrix organizations.
Demonstrated success in managing multiple deliverables concurrently often within aggressive timeframes; ability to cope under time pressure.
Experience in partnering with a diverse team composed of staff and consultants located in multiple locations and time zones.
Excellent communication skills and customer management skills
Should have performed a similar role & capacity for large transformational engagements.

The salary range for this position is 135,000.00 - 230,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
