Job description

Vice President, Product Management (Platforms)

Location: Nashville, TN or Remote - USA (Bay area)

Asurion is redefining the way people care for and repair their technology, helping customers stay connected to what matters most. As we transform our offerings into a Service Experience Platform, we are focused on establishing Asurion as a premier partner by delivering indispensable products, differentiated capabilities, and a world-class customer experience that makes technology support effortless and drives long-term growth.

We are looking for a Vice President, Product Management (Platforms) to define and drive the evolution of the company's core technology foundation, ensuring it enables scalability, reliability, and innovation across all products and services. This role is strategic, cross-functional, and technically sophisticated, bridging product management, engineering, and business strategy to deliver a platform that powers the entire SaaS ecosystem, ensuring that Asurion's products and services are scalable and deeply integrated into partner ecosystems.

This role requires a visionary product leader with a strong background in platform strategy, API ecosystems, and B2B product management, as well as a passion for delivering seamless experiences that turn customer support into a revenue-driving engine.

What You'll Do:

  1. Define and execute the roadmap for Asurion's Service Experience Platform to ensure the company's products are scalable, secure, and extensible.
  2. Develop a modular, cloud-native, API-first platform that enables seamless integration with Big Tech, OEMs, and new partners, delivering capabilities that drive growth, customer loyalty, and monetization opportunities for our partners.
  3. Align platform development with overall company objectives, ensuring it delivers value to both internal teams (engineering, product, design, sales) and external customers.
  4. Define and prioritize platform services that power customer engagement and tech support automation, including payments/billing, identity & authentication, data pipelines, integrations workflow and orchestration, front-end platform, extensibility frameworks, and Asurion's service experience strategy.
  5. Work closely with engineering, product, customer success, and go-to-market teams to ensure platform capabilities align with market needs and customer expectations.
  6. Work with engineering leadership to drive infrastructure modernization, tech stack evolution, and architectural improvements that support high-growth demand and meet uptime SLAs, performance benchmarks, and compliance requirements, while also providing a strong developer experience.
  7. Drive initiatives that make the platform more extensible, enabling third-party developers and partners to build integrations and apps, and oversee developer tools, APIs, SDKs, and documentation to improve usability and adoption.
  8. Balance new feature development with reducing technical debt to maintain platform health, driving modernization efforts while ensuring a seamless migration from legacy systems.
  9. Collaborate with product marketing, finance, and executive leadership to identify monetization opportunities for platform capabilities (e.g., API pricing models, premium features) and ensure platform investments align with revenue growth and cost optimization.
  10. Build a world-class Product Management organization focused on platform innovation.

Who You Are:

  1. 15+ years of experience in Product Management, with a strong track record in platform development, SaaS, or API ecosystems.
  2. Experience building and scaling platform businesses, with a deep understanding of B2B integration, data infrastructure, and cloud technologies.
  3. Proven success in defining and launching multi-tenant, high-scale platforms serving enterprise customers.
  4. Strong ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product marketing, sales, and CX teams to align platform capabilities with business objectives.
  5. Expertise in AI, automation, and data-driven personalization to enhance customer experiences.
  6. Exceptional strategic thinking and execution skills, with a passion for delivering high-value solutions to partners and customers.
