Job Summary

The Vice President of Product Management is the architect of what comes next. Leading the entire product management function of a major business line, the VP turns a portfolio of proven products into a more unified, AI-enabled platform and drives the growth and revenue-retention results that come with it. The VP sets the 3–5 year strategy and the execution engine behind it, makes the organizational-design decisions that let a fast-scaling team move with momentum, and builds the next generation of product leaders. As a trusted advisor to the C-suite on strategic opportunities, investment, and risk, the VP keeps the product function anchored to a mission that matters: transforming how governments serve their communities.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Set the 3–5 year product strategy and turn it into a living roadmap, translating the combined strengths of Neumo’s product lines into a differentiated vision that wins in the market and ties directly to enterprise growth goals
  • Own product budgets, performance, and risk like a true business leader: define the metrics that matter (ARR, net revenue retention, adoption, time to value), make hard investment trade-offs, and hold the portfolio accountable for results
  • Make bold organizational-design decisions; build and scale a product organization for momentum, with clear ownership across product lines and shared ways of working across teams that came together through merger
  • Develop the next generation of product leaders: coach Directors and Managers, own senior hiring and succession planning, and build a bench known for craft, accountability, and customer obsession
  • Lead enterprise-wide product initiatives and cross-functional transformation, from unifying experiences across product lines to launching new capabilities and accelerating cross-sell across the portfolio
  • Advise the C-suite on strategic opportunities, investment, and risk remediation, including build, buy, and partner decisions and the product implications of acquisitions and integrations
  • Be the keeper of mission and culture for product: ensure every roadmap decision and team practice reflects Neumo’s commitment to making government work better for the people and communities it serves
  • Be the face of Neumo product to major clients, partners, and industry and executive forums: listen closely to government leaders, shape the conversation on modernization, and turn customer insight into roadmap
  • Establish the product operating model, standards, and governance that let a fast-growing portfolio move quickly and consistently, including disciplined discovery-to-delivery practices, pricing and packaging, and measurable outcomes across teams
  • Champion enterprise adoption of modern, AI-assisted product practices, and lead the strategy for bringing secure, responsible, AI-enabled capabilities into products used in regulated public-sector environments
  • Collaborate across the business, and especially with product and engineering peers, to strengthen the combined product and engineering organization and deliver outcomes customers can see and feel
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • 10+ years of experience including significant people-management and leadership experience in a growing software or SaaS business

  • Deep government-technology and market expertise preferred: you understand how agencies buy, adopt, and depend on software, and what it takes to earn their trust
  • Track record of owning budgets, financial performance, and organizational design, ideally through a period of rapid growth, acquisition, or integration
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Enterprise strategy and organizational leadership: the ability to see around corners and rally many teams behind one ambitious direction
  • Financial and operational stewardship of a major function, with fluency in SaaS economics such as ARR, retention, pricing, and profitability
  • Executive communication with board, client, and partner presence: able to tell a compelling product story to a county official, a CEO, or an investor
  • Leadership development and organizational design: a talent magnet who builds teams that outperform
  • Change leadership and transformation at scale, including bringing teams, platforms, and practices together after mergers and acquisitions
