Qualifications

We are looking for a Vice President of Product Management with superb management and execution skills to drive and lead our product management team. Additionally, they will be developing new features for the AI market, working with Sales and Marketing to roll out Beta and Early Access Programs and help to define and execute on go to market plans. The candidate will report directly to the CEO of Komprise.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, execution-focused product leader with a track record of building and managing high-performing product teams — ideally including distributed or international teams — as well as delivering enterprise SaaS products at scale. Experience taking new products to market, including market and product definition, driving pilots and beta programs, helping to develop a go to market plan and launching and growing market is important. This individual will have strong technical understanding, exceptional customer empathy, and the ability to work across departments — Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Support — to ensure smooth launches of new features and their ongoing adoption. This person drives a team hard while keeping them motivated and engaged, communicates clearly and confidently, and is polished enough to represent Komprise with customers, partners, and investors, and in weekly executive leadership meetings.

Responsibilities
  • Work with key executives to help define product strategy, roadmap, and priorities aligned with company goals and market opportunities.
    • Translate customer challenges and business opportunities into clear product strategies, requirements, and priorities.
  • Lead Komprise’s AI product strategy — market discovery, sizing, and competitive differentiation; MVP definition; pilots and Beta/Early Access Programs; and pricing, licensing, and delivery model — to open and grow the AI market.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, including emerging technologies and especially evolving customer needs.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering leadership to deliver scalable, reliable, high-quality, supportable and self-repairable products which are intuitive and easy to use.
  • Directly manage and develop a distributed team of product managers, UX designers and documentation writers in both the US and in India. Develop each feature with product led sales initiatives in mind to accelerate adoption.
  • Drive successful product launches and measure product performance and customer impact.
  • Own the product lifecycle end-to-end (“cradle to grave”) and work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Support teams ahead of a launch and equip them with the positioning, training, and assets needed to demo, sell and support the new features..
  • Develop a deep understanding of customers, market trends, competitive landscapes, and industry needs.
  • Represent the product organization with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing product management organization.
  • Establish product management processes, frameworks, metrics, and best practices that improve execution and alignment.
  • Establish team objectives, priorities, and performance expectations.

Own adoption and revenue targets for the AI product line, using data, analytics, customer feedback, and market insights to guide decisions and demonstrate impact.

  • Excellent management and people skills, including a demonstrated ability to quickly assess and elevate an existing team’s performance, focused on fast pipelined development, processes that ensure quality, consistency, ease of use and branding, strong internal and external documentation, and leveraging AI to make product management more efficient.
  • Ability to convert market insights and distill the competitive landscape into actionable product strategies.
  • Ability to synthesize input from multiple, sometimes conflicting stakeholders — customers, sales, engineering, and leadership — into a clear, well-reasoned strategy that can be communicated confidently to the executive team.
  • Customer-focused and outbound focused mindset to garner a deep understanding of user needs and business challenges and translate that into pilots and products that meet emerging markets.
  • Prior experience deriving pricing, licensing, and delivery models, and implementing pricing infrastructure. Technical aptitude with the ability to work effectively with engineering and technical teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and building products that succeed in the market.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions and use data to quantify achievements and success.
  • Strong business judgment and ability to balance customer needs, technical feasibility, and business priorities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Product Management, including experience developing enterprise software or SaaS products.
  • 5+ years of experience managing product teams or product leaders.
  • Proven experience defining product strategy, building roadmaps, and delivering successful revenue generating solutions.
  • Experience working with cloud-based products and software platforms.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives across Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Support.
  • Track record of delivering products that drive customer value and business results.
  • Experience with data platforms, data management, analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or business intelligence products.
  • Experience developing AI products or products that support AI and a strong understanding of the AI market.
  • Experience bringing enterprise SaaS products to market from zero to solid adoption — including product definition, driving pilots/Beta programs, and growing new markets. Experience building products that operate at large scale with complex technical requirements.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers and strategic accounts.
