Job summary

One Inc is seeking a Vice President of Product Design to own the design vision for the product organization and lead a growing design team. You will translate design decisions into business outcomes, own the end-to-end customer journey, and partner with Product and Engineering leadership to align priorities with revenue and customer value.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product design, with 5+ years in a design leadership role owning a team and a portfolio.
• Demonstrated business fluency - able to connect design decisions to revenue, retention, or operational outcomes, and to make that case to non-design executives.
• Experience in fintech, insurtech, or another high-trust, high-compliance B2B2C environment strongly preferred.
• Track record building or scaling a design function, including design systems and design ops.
• Experience owning a customer journey end-to-end, ideally across both consumer-facing and enterprise audiences.
• Strong point of view balanced with collaborative style.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end customer journey across Product, with direct accountability for reducing friction in policyholder and carrier-facing experiences
• Lead and scale a design organization (UX, UI, design systems, research), currently a team of ~6 product designers
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to embed design earlier in the product development lifecycle
• Establish and maintain a design system / pattern library that drives consistency across squads
• Represent design at the executive level - influence roadmap with a business case
• Bring external perspective and industry best practices into the team
• Build design operating rhythms that scale with the org
