The VP, Product AI Enablement will report to the Chief Digital Officer. This role is responsible for developing and implementing innovative product technology strategies, including generative AI, to transform education and add value to Cengage Group’s offerings.

This high-impact, high-visibility role involves identifying strategic opportunities in a rapidly evolving market, working closely with senior leadership to drive transformation in the education marketplace.

What You'll Do Here

1. Develop strategy for using generative AI in education products and services.
2. Identify opportunities to enhance learning outcomes, personalize experiences, and optimize content using AI technologies.
3. Align on innovation strategy and roadmap with product teams for AI integration.
4. Conduct financial analysis to assess ROI and market trends to inform decision-making.
5. Partner with corporate development for investment and acquisition opportunities.
6. Develop AI application business cases and investment plans.
7. Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and inform product development.
8. Establish ethical guidelines for AI use, addressing privacy, bias, and fairness.
9. Manage risks to protect Cengage IP.
10. Lead teams in developing and deploying AI solutions, fostering a culture of innovation.
11. Represent as a People Leader, exemplifying leadership expectations.
12. Collaborate across functions to integrate AI into educational products.
13. Build strategic partnerships with external organizations and vendors.
14. Stay updated on AI advancements and emerging trends.
15. Define KPIs and continuously optimize AI models for effectiveness.

Skills You Will Need Here

1. 12+ years in product management and leadership roles in technology.
2. 15+ years in technology/product management with a focus on innovation and AI, especially in education tech (e.g., LMS).
3. Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
4. Analytical and problem-solving expertise.
5. Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

Compensation

Our full base pay range for this role is $192,500 - $250,000 USD. Compensation varies based on experience, location, and qualifications. Sales roles may include additional incentives.
