Role Summary/Purpose:

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Security Engineer to lead technical projects that enhance our security engineering functions. This role involves integrating on-premise security technologies into cloud environments, primarily AWS, and providing technical leadership across teams. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cybersecurity, DevOps, infrastructure, and development, with strong influence and collaboration skills. This position is key to advancing our cloud security initiatives and shaping core security solutions.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Lead efforts to ensure AWS services are secure by design.
2. Design and implement scalable security solutions bridging on-premise and cloud.
3. Collaborate with leadership to influence security strategy.
4. Drive security initiatives proactively and efficiently.
5. Innovate and provide thought leadership in security technologies.
6. Contribute to security best practices and policies.
7. Guide security architecture and implementation.
8. Assess and mitigate security risks across teams.
9. Develop technical plans, diagrams, and communicate effectively.
10. Evaluate and integrate new security tools and technologies.
11. Embed security within all development stages.
12. Represent security in technical and governance discussions.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in security engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with security frameworks like PCI-DSS, NIST 800-53.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise technology and security best practices.
• Ability to mentor and influence across levels.

Additional Details

Grade/Level: 13

Salary range: $155,000 - $260,000 annually, plus bonus, based on experience and market.
