Job summary

Houlihan Lokey Financial Advisors, Inc. in Houston seeks a Vice President to lead fair value assessments of illiquid debt and equity across hedge funds, private equity funds, and business development companies, with emphasis on energy and oil & gas sectors.

You will oversee valuation teams, guide analysts, and present findings to clients and internal stakeholders while developing business opportunities and maintaining strong industry relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six years in financial services at VP level.
• Equity and/or debt valuation experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced accounting, finance, financial modeling, and analytical abilities.
• Demonstrated experience managing Analysts, Associates, or other personnel.
• Entrepreneurial attitude with a client-facing growth mindset.
• Strong command of Excel, PowerPoint and common database systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead FVA portfolio valuation teams for illiquid securities.
• Lead due diligence sessions with clients.
• Present valuation analyses and conclusions internally and externally.
• Direct Associates and Financial Analysts and review work products.
• Review public filings, Bloomberg data, and energy sector information.
• Manage client deliverables and engagement quality.
• Develop creative content and collaborate across service lines.
• Pitch engagements and lead business development initiatives.
