JOB PROFILE SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Vice President of Platform and Engineering to lead the direction, development, and execution of our technology platforms. Reporting to the SVP, IT, this leadership role will be responsible for shaping the company’s enterprise architecture and driving the strategic alignment of technology platforms with business goals. You will lead the architecture, design, development, and integration of platforms supporting critical functional workstreams such as Client/Facility Journey, Clinical Journey, Patient Journey, and Employee Journey.
As the VP of Platform and Engineering, you will have responsibility for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key business stakeholders, ensuring that technology solutions meet the needs of the business. You will also manage the portfolio of platform initiatives and be responsible for driving the adoption of best practices across enterprise architecture to ensure scalability, efficiency, and long-term sustainability of the technology ecosystem.

Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership & Vision:
Collaborate with the SVP, IT and other senior leadership to define, communicate, and execute IT strategies aligned with business goals and financial capabilities. Lead efforts to prioritize initiatives that have the highest strategic value, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effective solutions that meet both short- and long-term objectives. - Enterprise Architecture Development & Governance:
Own and drive the development of the enterprise architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology needs. Lead the establishment of architectural standards, principles, and best practices to ensure the scalability, flexibility, and security of systems. Oversee governance processes to ensure systems are integrated efficiently and consistently, providing the framework for a cohesive technology environment across the organization. - Portfolio Management & Business Relationships:
Manage the technology portfolio for key functional workstreams (Client/Facility Journey, Clinical Journey, Patient Journey, Employee Journey), ensuring that each initiative is aligned with business priorities and contributes to the overall strategy. Maintain strong relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders to understand their needs, translate them into technology solutions, and drive cross-functional collaboration. Ensure that technology projects deliver measurable business value and align with company goals. - Platform Architecture & Integration:
Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of core platforms and systems. Develop and execute strategies for platform integration across various business functions, ensuring a seamless flow of data and processes between systems. Identify opportunities for optimization and innovation within existing platforms, ensuring alignment with the company’s evolving needs. - API-as-a-Service Strategy:
Spearhead the development and implementation of the API-as-a-Service strategy, ensuring seamless integration between key platforms and scalability across systems. Establish best practices for API governance, security, and lifecycle management to ensure APIs are secure, scalable, and capable of supporting business growth. - Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with business and technology leaders across the organization to define requirements, align on strategic goals, and ensure timely delivery of critical platform initiatives. Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure technology solutions meet their needs and address their challenges. Drive the successful execution of initiatives that enhance the customer, employee, and clinical journeys. - Team Leadership & Engineering Culture:
Lead, inspire, and develop high-performing engineering and platform teams. Cultivate an engineering culture that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Mentor team members and encourage professional development to build a skilled and resilient workforce capable of supporting the company’s technology needs. - Project & Budget Management:
Oversee the budgeting and financial management of platform-related projects, ensuring that initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Establish project milestones and key performance indicators to track progress and ensure successful delivery of technology projects. - Security, Compliance, and Governance:
Ensure that all platform systems adhere to security, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Lead the implementation of robust governance frameworks to mitigate risks and ensure platform integrity. Champion best practices in data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance across all technology systems. - Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and industry best practices. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the functionality, scalability, and efficiency of the technology ecosystem. Recommend and implement new technologies, methodologies, and tools that help meet business needs and drive operational efficiency. - Executive Reporting & Communication:
Provide regular reports and updates to the SVP, IT and other senior leaders on the progress of platform and architecture initiatives. Effectively communicate technical issues, challenges, and solutions in a business-relevant manner, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and goals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge working in and overseeing complex, enterprise-level technology initiatives.
- Technical knowledge in Salesforce, QGenda, and related platforms, including their architecture, integration, and optimization.
- Ability to act as SME and leader in API management, integration strategies, and building scalable, secure platforms.
- Knowledge cloud technologies, infrastructure management, and system design principles.
- Strong ability to translate business objectives into actionable technology strategies, ensuring alignment across business and technology teams.
- Cloud technologies include Azure and AWS
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions.

EDUCATION (Required and/or Preferred):
- Bachelor’s degree, required

WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years in Information Technology leadership with experience leading matrixed teams and complex and strategic platforms
- Leadership & Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role, such as VP of Engineering, Platform, or Technology, overseeing complex, enterprise-level technology initiatives.
- Strong background in enterprise architecture, with hands-on experience developing and implementing architectural strategies, frameworks, and governance processes.
- Demonstrated success in leading and managing cross-functional teams and building strong relationships with key business stakeholders.
- Experience in portfolio management and aligning technology initiatives with business strategy.
- Technical Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of Salesforce, QGenda, and related platforms, including their architecture, integration, and optimization.
- Expertise in API management, integration strategies, and building scalable, secure platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, infrastructure management, and system design principles.
- Strategic & Business Acumen:
- Strong ability to translate business objectives into actionable technology strategies, ensuring alignment across business and technology teams.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale, high-impact projects and managing budgets, resources, and timelines.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
