Job summary

Jobot is seeking a VP-level operations leader to own performance across an MEP contractor platform. This remote role includes ~50% travel across the Midwest, reporting to senior leadership, and driving root-cause analysis and rapid improvements across divisions.

You will standardize processes, integrate acquisitions, and balance strategic oversight with hands-on field involvement in a fast-growing PE-backed environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive multi-site operations leadership in HVAC, mechanical, MEP, or skilled-trades/field-services.
• Proven record diagnosing underperforming operations and turning them around.
• Experience integrating and standardizing acquired or multi-location businesses.
• Comfort operating in a fast-moving, private equity-backed, high-growth environment.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and the ability to influence operators without direct authority.
• Willingness to travel ~50% and reside in the Midwest.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the go-to operations leader across all divisions, partnering with division and operating-company leaders.
• Diagnose operational challenges, identify root causes, and lead practical, lasting fixes.
• Prioritize the divisions and locations with the greatest opportunity for improvement.
• Standardize and strengthen operating processes across a multi-site footprint.
• Bring structure and operational discipline to recently acquired businesses.
• Operate strategically while staying hands-on and close to the field.
