Our investment management client, in partnership with Conexus Recruiting, seeks a talented VP of Treasury to join their Corporate Finance and Accounting Team.

Job Title: VP of Treasury

Job Status: This role is a direct hire role.

Job Site Status: Our client has a hybrid job site status of three (3) days/week in the office and two days/week of remote work (subject to change).

Compensation: Salary range is $160,000 to $200,000/year. A very generous bonus is on the table, potentially boosting total compensation by over a third!

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE VP OF TREASURY

Treasury

• Oversee and enhance treasury operations, ensuring seamless execution of payments, liquidity management, and banking activities.
• Lead treasury transformation projects, driving process automation and technology adoption.
• Provide leadership and guidance to Treasury team fostering an environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork, and communication.
• Strengthen internal controls and optimize cash management strategies.
• Manage and develop banking relationships.
• Strengthen bank relationships with regular reviews across financial institutions including investment banks, prime brokers, and custodians.
• Identify and implement process improvements, including any technology advancements.
• Assist and support a future Treasury Management System (TMS) implementation.
• Oversight of future TMS upgrades and/or maintenance with internal teams while managing impact to daily operations.

Compliance and Controls

• Develop, implement, and maintain necessary governance documentation including policies and procedures, controls, and process flows over treasury activities.
• Support and manage system integrations between internal and external systems while monitoring data flows for accuracy.
• Assist approval related tasks which can include payments, payment templates, bank account requests and account data validation across various platforms.
• Assist in internal audit, risk management and compliance reviews working as a subject matter expert to address action items to strengthen our controls and mitigate risk.
• Accept all relevant tasks as given by upper management.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE VP OF TREASURY

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a comparable major.
• At least ten (10) years of treasury/cash management experience.
• At least six (6) years of supervisory/managerial experience.

Preferred

• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification.
• Prior work experience at a public accounting firm before transitioning to private industry.
• Prior work experience at a Big 4 or national accounting firm.
• Prior employment at an investment management/asset management firm.
