Precision Strategies is seeking a Vice President, Communications in Washington, DC, to lead cutting-edge strategies for nonprofits, advocacy groups, media startups, and industry leaders. You will oversee integrated communications, media strategy, and client relationships, guiding teams toward high-impact outcomes.

The role requires 10+ years in marketing communications, exceptional senior leadership, and the ability to grow client work while mentoring junior staff in a dynamic, hybrid work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 10+ years of marketing communications/related fields experience.
• Direct client management experience.
• Experience guiding junior talent.
• Experience working with multiple clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Creative, energetic, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of integrated communications strategies and materials (memos, decks, press releases, op-eds, speeches, social media, paid media, data analysis).
• Lead media strategy across initiatives and manage client narratives.
• Guide teams in crafting sharp, persuasive message frameworks.
• Own client relationships and manage large-scale projects and accounts.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration and ensure staff resources and budgets.
• Keep teams informed and drive productive internal meetings and external stakeholder updates.
• Lead 1:1s, goals, feedback, and performance reviews with junior staff.
• Execute complex projects end-to-end with clear work plans and budgets.
• Drive vision and execution of content across projects; provide editorial leadership.
• Lead pitches and presentations to drive organic growth and new ideas.
