Job summary

Fellow is seeking a Vice President of Software to own our software ecosystem, spanning Embedded Firmware, Control Systems, Mobile Apps, and Cloud Backend. You will lead the engineering organization in San Francisco, aligning hardware and software roadmaps while improving reliability and velocity.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with hands-on embedded and cloud-native work.
• Proven track record of scaling engineering teams across multiple disciplines.
• Experience delivering connected products with hardware/software integration.
• Deep expertise in IoT ecosystems, OTA updates, fleet management, and sensor fusion.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, release management, and metrics-driven delivery.
• Portfolio of shipped products with software-hardware interaction, strong architectural judgment.

Responsibilities

• Scale the engineering organization and streamline team structure for firmware, mobile, and cloud services.
• Set the technical direction and lead roadmaps for embedded systems, control logic, mobile interfaces, and cloud services.
• Architect, review, and unblock production software across embedded, cloud, and mobile systems.
