VP of People – East Coast, Remote

A global startup focused on a blend of crypto and traditional finance is hiring for a hands-on VP of People based on the East Coast in a fully remote position managing HR for 250 employees worldwide. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of fintech/finance/startup experience fully owning and operating all areas of Human Resources. This role reports to the COO.

Location: This is a fully remote role, but must be based on the East Coast (ideally near Miami or NYC).

Compensation: Range of $150-250k total compensation, including base salary, bonus, stock options, 401k match, and benefits. Benefits are strong; one option is fully company paid, and unlimited PTO is offered.

Seeking:

  • 10+ years of relevant VP or Head of HR experience within fintech, tech, engineering, or startup firms.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing HR functions and developing HR strategies and processes.
  • Managing offer letters, onboarding, and coordinating with IT vendors for new employee setups.
  • Handling terminations, offboarding, exit interviews, and separation agreements.
  • Overseeing recruiting efforts and partnering with agencies.
  • Managing benefits and payroll, with potential renegotiation or new PEO search.
  • Utilizing current systems: BambooHR for HRIS and ADP for payroll.
  • Creating and maintaining employee handbook.
  • Managing compensation grading, organizational chart, titles, and promotions.
  • Overseeing employee and manager review cycles, goal setting, and training programs.
  • Fostering employee engagement and culture, serving as a resource for staff.

This individual will have one direct report assisting with administrative tasks within the People function.
