The TL;DR - Who we’re looking for
As VP of Marketing (Growth), you'll own Lineage's growth engine: new-customer acquisition, the marketing P&L, and the experimentation program behind every spend, offer, and creative decision. You'll lead a cross-functional team across paid acquisition, creative and content, CRO, ecommerce, email and retention, affiliates, and partnerships, and you'll be accountable for new-customer growth, CAC efficiency, and LTV expansion.
You'll also lead how the team uses AI across creative production, testing, reporting, and analysis, and you'll use it in your own work every day.
This role is ideal for a hands-on, analytical growth leader who has scaled a CPG or DTC brand to $100M+, runs growth on written hypotheses and clean tests, and wants to build that system at a profitable, bootstrapped, subscription-driven brand. Experience growing a brand with well-known founders is a big plus.
About Lineage
Lineage Provisions makes animal-based nutrition products with high standards for quality, nutrient density, taste, and transparency. The company was founded by Paul Saladino MD and Anthony Gustin DC and sources from producers and farms committed to regenerative agriculture. We sell primarily direct to consumer on Shopify, with most revenue coming from subscriptions. We are mid-eight figures in revenue, profitable, bootstrapped, and fully remote.
Why Lineage Provisions?
We think that the majority of health products online are just a bunch of garbage with fancy labels trying to sell trendy items for a quick buck. We make the best products we possibly can to help humans eat like humans. We believe that real-food nutrition is the cornerstone for proper human health. We exist to make adhering to this lifestyle easy and delicious.
We also are passionate proponents of regenerative agriculture. Regenerative agriculture is the only way we can produce food indefinitely. The vast majority of how we currently produce food is destroying our ecosystems which we depend on for survival. The more we support regenerative agriculture, the more we support a food system that can continue to feed people in the future. There is no other option.
Eating a hyper local and seasonal diet is the best way to approach nutrition, but the reality is most food is purchased in packaged form. We aim to drive a wedge into that industry by sourcing from the best farms, making the best products, and displacing those that cut corners and sell lies.
If we’re successful with Lineage Provisions, we will help transition farms from conventional to regenerative agriculture, all while nourishing the people who are supporting us to do so. And we need your help!
About The Role
We are looking for a VP of Marketing (Growth) to lead new-customer acquisition and revenue growth across our DTC business. You will own the marketing P&L and experimentation program, and you will manage a cross-functional team spanning paid acquisition, creative and content, CRO, ecomm, email/retention, affiliate, and partnerships.
Our approach to growth is traditional: form a hypothesis, run a clean test, read the result, and apply what you learn to the next decision. The team already includes dedicated retention and marketing directors, so this role is focused on measurable growth rather than brand marketing. Success is defined by new-customer growth, CAC efficiency, and LTV expansion.
What You’ll Do
1. Growth Strategy & Experimentation
- Set the growth roadmap and translate it into weekly execution and clear KPIs
- Run a structured testing program across audiences, offers, funnels, landing pages, and creative, with written hypotheses, weekly readouts, and documented decisions
- Own growth reporting and dashboards that leadership and finance rely on, including attribution and incrementality testing and cohort LTV analysis
- Partner with finance on forecasting, budget pacing, and first-order profitability
2. Paid Acquisition
- Own the paid media budget and performance across Meta, Google, YouTube, and emerging channels such as TikTok
- Scale spend while holding CAC, payback, and contribution margin targets
- Lead creative strategy for paid and organic growth: ad concept development, UGC production, and iteration speed
- Work with the content team and founders to turn performance data into creative priorities
4. Acquisition Beyond Paid Social
- Build affiliate and performance partnership programs
- Develop programs that convert the organic audiences of Dr. Paul Saladino and Dr. Anthony Gustin into customers, including lead magnets, advertorial funnels, and whitelisting
- Test offers (bundles, entry price points, sample packs) and funnels (subscription, lead generation) to improve conversion rate, AOV, and acquisition efficiency
- Work with the Director of Retention and Director of Marketing on email/SMS, post-purchase flows, and campaigns that improve repeat purchase rate and 30/60/90-day cohort LTV
- Lead, hire, and develop the growth team, and set quarterly goals and clear ownership across channels
- Manage agency and contractor relationships while owning outcomes
You’ll love this role if
- You approach growth like a scientist: you form hypotheses, run structured tests, and let the results decide
- You enjoy building funnels, testing offers, and developing creative angles until you find what works
- You think in systems and want to build a growth program that runs without you
- You're hands-on and happy to build alongside your team
- You use AI every day to work faster and better, and you want your team to do the same
- You give direct feedback and hold yourself and your team to a high bar
- You can set a clear strategy and get your team and leadership aligned behind it
- You care about nutrition, real food, metabolic health, and the environment
- You do your best work in a low-ego, remote, async environment where clear writing matters
You’ll hate this role if:
- You need a large team around you to get things shipped
- You’d rather manage agencies than get into the work yourself
- You prefer quick growth hacks to sustainable, customer-centric growth
- You're used to scaling with large amounts of outside funding
- You prefer meetings to written, async communication
- You need close direction to solve problems
- You're looking for a clearly defined career path
- You prefer doing the same tasks every day
- You prefer the structure of a large corporate environment
What You’ll Bring
- 6+ years of growth or performance marketing experience in DTC eCommerce; CPG or supplements/VMS experience strongly preferred
- Experience scaling a CPG or DTC brand to $100M+ in revenue, managing a cross-functional team and multi-million-dollar annual paid media budgets
- Direct ownership of a marketing P&L, with accountability for CAC, payback, and contribution margin
- A disciplined approach to testing: hypotheses in writing, well-designed tests, honest readouts, and clear scale-or-kill decisions
- Strong analytical skills; you can build and explain the models behind budget decisions, including first-order profitability and ROAS vs. LTV tradeoffs
- Hands-on experience with attribution and incrementality testing, using platforms such as Haus, Prescient, Triple Whale, or Northbeam
- Experience growing a subscription business, with fluency in nCAC, aMER, iROAS, cohort LTV, and churn
- Creative strategy experience for paid social, including ad concept frameworks and landing-page CRO
Nice to Have
- Experience with founder-led or organic-to-paid acquisition programs
- Background or genuine interest in health, nutrition, or food
- Comfort in a fully remote, async, low-ego work environment
Full-time salary with bonus opportunities based on company performance. Benefits include:
- Top-of-the-line health, vision, and dental plans with employer matching
- Monthly stipends for local farmer's market and food, gym or personal fitness, and mental wellness
- Free Kindle and unlimited free books
- $3,000 per year for continued learning and training programs
- Free Lineage products and friends-and-family discounts
- Unlimited time off and a parent-friendly working environment
- Fully remote and location-independent, with no set work schedule and no monitoring of hours
