Build global brand awareness of a digital platform in the film industry.

Proven experience of building a brand (company) from scratch is essential as is previous experience in film/TV/music marketing.

This role is fully remote but with daily meetings with US West/East coast.

THE COMPANY

Our Client is an international film and TV distributor that connects IP owners with streaming services in order to secure lucrative distribution deals.

THE ROLE

As VP of Marketing, you will own the creation and execution of a bold, integrated brand strategy that amplifies the company’s visibility globally and drives sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own and define the company’s brand and positioning across channels and markets
  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing team across brand, festivals/markets, growth, content, community and PR
  • Build a storytelling content generation system to establish the company as the leader in distribution through industry insights, client stories, and content trends
  • Build PR & Content strategy to establish thought leadership online and at industry events
  • Define marketing metrics and reporting systems to ensure efficiency, and accountability
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Operations to keep marketing connected to business impact
  • Be a champion of company values—clarity, transparency, ownership, and a deep respect for creatives and their work.

This role is fully remote working. However, you will have regular calls with US West-coast colleagues, so some evening work may be necessary.

THE PERSON

We’re looking for a seasoned marketing leader with significant experience driving impact in high-growth startup environments—ideally across media, marketplaces, or creator platforms. You’re a creative powerhouse with a product marketing mindset, known for crafting breakout brands that people remember—and trust.

You thrive at the intersection of storytelling and strategy, pairing sharp narratives with a data-driven approach. You’re equally comfortable in the boardroom and in the weeds: a visionary strategist who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves and build.

You’ve worked with filmmakers, creators, or rights holders, and you deeply understand their mindset.

And finally, you will have exceptional leadership skills and the ability to build and lead multidisciplinary marketing teams.
