VP of Manufacturing - Food and Private Equity - Remote

Our client is a leading food manufacturer across the USA, mainly focusing on short shelf life food products. They require a proven VP of Manufacturing who will have 4 sites under them. The VP of Manufacturing reports to the COO and will be part of the senior leadership team responsible for driving best-in-class operational performance across a highly complex set of plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading and developing a team of Managers responsible for manufacturing, engineering, technology and supply chain activities
  • Full responsibility for the supply chain, including strategic and operational management of manufacturing plants
  • Driving the simplification of production processes through standardization, technology and innovation, and the implementation of Lean methodology
  • Building integrated processes in supply chain by working with all functions in the Group and tracking performance through effective KPIs, budgeting and forecasting
  • Effectively manage raw material and labour budgets in line with standard costings
  • Develop the continuous improvement strategy
  • Develop a lean manufacturing strategy
  • Reduce costs on line with general business strategy
About you
  • Degree-level educated in a related field - Engineering, Food Science or Business Management
  • A minimum of 15 years' experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lead large and complex teams
  • Experience in a multi-site operations is essential
  • Ability to demonstrate a high drive for results
  • Strong examples of growing and developing a pipeline of talent
  • Strong commercial acumen Able to identify trends and react swiftly to an ever-changing environment.
