Overview
Our client, a market-leading manufacturer with a complex multi-site operation, is seeking a Vice President of Manufacturing to lead and execute the organization's long-term manufacturing strategy. This executive will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, manufacturing transformation, automation, workforce development, and scalable growth across a large manufacturing network.
Reporting to a senior executive within the global supply chain organization, this leader will help shape the future of manufacturing operations while supporting ambitious growth objectives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a long-term manufacturing strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
- Lead large-scale manufacturing operations across multiple facilities and regions.
- Drive automation, digital transformation, and advanced manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational performance, cost effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate manufacturing capabilities, capacity, and network optimization opportunities.
- Partner closely with supply chain, sourcing, engineering, quality, operations, and executive leadership teams to ensure alignment on strategic priorities.
- Build and develop high-performing leadership teams while driving succession planning and talent development initiatives.
- Establish and monitor key operational metrics to support continuous improvement and business performance.
- Lead manufacturing integration efforts associated with acquisitions, growth initiatives, and organizational transformation.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, safety, and operational excellence throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related technical field required; advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including significant multi-site responsibility.
- Prior experience at the Vice President level or equivalent senior manufacturing leadership role.
- Proven success leading manufacturing transformation, operational excellence, and large-scale change initiatives.
- Experience implementing automation, robotics, Industry 4.0 technologies, or advanced manufacturing systems.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing strategy, productivity improvement, labor optimization, and operational performance management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large organizations and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
- Experience operating within complex manufacturing environments with significant workforce populations.
- Global manufacturing, sourcing, or supply chain exposure is highly preferred.
